【등록(거소신고)외국인 자동연장 안내문】
코로나19 지역사회 감염 확산 우려에 따라, 출입국·외국인관서 방문 최소화를 통한 감염 확산을 방지하고자, 등록(거소신고) 외국인의 체류기간을 다음과 같이 4. 30.까지 일괄 연장하기로 하였습니다.
민원인께서는 이를 참고하여 코로나19 사태가 안정화될 때까지 관할 출입국·외국인관서 방문을 가급적 자제 해 주시고, 체류기간연장이나 기타 신고민원은 온라인민원(www.hikorea.go.kr)을 적극 이용해 주시기 바랍니다.
관련한 궁금하신 내용은 외국인종합안내센터(☎1345)에 문의하시면 자세한 안내를 받으실 수 있습니다.
1. 대상자
• ❶ 체류만료일이 ‘20. 2. 24.부터 ‘4. 29. 이전에 도래하는 등록(거소)외국인으로서,
❷ 시행일 당시 국내 체류 중인 합법체류자
(※ 단, 비전문취업(E-9), 선원취업(E-10), 소재불명자는 제외)
- 체류기간이 22(토)~23(일)일 종료되는 외국인도 체류만료일이 24(월)일이므로 모두 일괄 연장 대상에 포함
- 이미 방문 또는 온라인을 통해 체류기간연장허가를 신청한 사람은 일괄 연장 대상에서 제외
(심사기준에 따라 통상 체류기간 부여 예정)
2. 연장처리 방안
• 아래 예외적 처리 대상자를 제외한 위의 일반 대상자는 체류만료일이 ’20. 4. 29. 이전인 경우 일괄 ’20. 4. 30.로 연장 처리됨

< 예외적 처리 대상 > □ 아래 예외적 처리 대상자는 법령·지침에 따른 체류 상한일이 ’20. 4. 30. 이전인 경우 해당 상한일자까지만 연장 처리 • 호텔 · 유흥업 종사자(E-6-2) 체류 상한 → 최초입국일로부터 2년 • 결혼이민자의 부모 등 가족(F-1-5) 체류 상한 → 최초입국일로부터 4년 10개월 • 방문취업(H-2) 및 그 동반가족(F-1-11) 체류 상한 → 최초입국일로부터 4년 10개월 □ 법령에 따른 체류 상한일이 ’20. 5. 1. 이후인 경우에는 ’20. 4. 30.까지 연장처리 |
【 Announcement on Automatic Extension of Stay for Registered Aliens 】
Periods of stay for registered aliens (address reported) are automatically extended to April 30, 2020 as described below, to stem the spread of the virus, by minimizing unessential visits to Immigration Offices amid growing concerns over the community transmission of the virus.
In this regard, using e-Application services at the HiKorea website (www.hikorea.go.kr) for Extension of Stay and other civil affairs is highly recommended to reduce in-person visits to jurisdictional immigration offices until the current situation is stabilized.
For further detailed information, call Immigration Contact Center at 1345 (with no area code).
1. Eligibility
• ❶ Registered aliens whose period of stay is due to expire between February 24 and April 29, 2020, and
❷ Who are legally staying in the Republic of Korea at the time of enforcement
(Yet, Non-Professional (E-9), Maritime Crew (E-10), and Those whose whereabouts are unknown are Excluded)
- Those whose period of stay expires on February 22(Sat.) or 23(Sun.) are included to benefit from the Automatic Extension of Stay Measure.
- Those who have already applied for Permission to Extend Period of Stay either by visit or online are excluded from the Measure. (Normal Period of Stay to be granted based on review criteria)
2. Extension of Stay under the Measure
• Registered aliens (address reported), except for those listed below, whose period of stay expires before April 29, 2020 will have his/her period of stay collectively extended to be valid until April 30, 2020.

< Exceptions > □ Persons falling under the following categories whose period of stay expires before April 30, 2020 will have his/her period of stay extended within the relevant maximum period as stipulated in the laws and regulations of the Republic of Korea. • Maximum period of stay for those with Hotel/Entertainment (E-6-2) → 2 years from the date of first entry • Maximum period of stay for Family Members (F-1-5) of Marriage Migrants → 4 years and 10 months from the date of first entry • Maximum period of stay for those with Work & Visit (H-2) and Family Members (F-1-11) → 4 years and 10 months from the date of first entry □ Those whose period of stay expires after May 1, 2020 pursuant to the laws and regulations will have his/her period of stay extended to be valid until April 30, 2020. |
